Fallout Advent Calendar - Day 08
A Christmas With Every Minimal Acceptable Safety Standard Met!
Day 8’s envelope is a red rectangle with a pair of Nuka Cola bottles clinking! Cheers!
Nuka Cola Challenge!
So as I mentioned above, the Vault-Boy image is the image used in a quest in Fallout 3. The quest giver is a woman called Sierra Petrovita who has a love of all things Nuka Cola and has created her own Nuka Cola museum in the Capital Wasteland. In the Fallout 4 DLC Nuka World, we meet her again in the theme park. We receive another quest from her here, where we get a pair of Cappy Glasses which will reveal hidden Cappys around the part and give us the password to enter a building where we can meet the creator of Nuka Cola, John-Caleb Bradburton. Now, we’re 200 years past the war, so he’s going to be long since dead, right? Well, Bradburton had his fingers in many pies, including the US Military. Having his team work on Project Cobalt to make weaponry, Bradburton discovered the LEAP-X Program - Life Extension And Prolongation. He was under the impression that he would be able to live forever with his body preserved in a bio-mech. However, he would be informed that no more than 15lbs of organic material would be able to be preserved, which resulted in Bradburton having his head surgically removed and preserved. He would live out 200 years alone in a bunker under Nuka World until the Sole Survivor and Sierra find him. Would you keep him alive so Sierra can talk to her hero, or would you put a pitiful soul out of his misery?
