How To Paint Sandstone Castles

I was inspired to make this video, because whenever I see someone having painted a castle for the tabletop, including the inhouse painted shots for this dice tower, they’ve been painted grey. Living in a town with a historical castle which is still lived in to this day, I wanted to bring some authentic North Eastern Medieval flair to the tabletop, and it’s perfect for adding to the table for Half Tilt!

To the right are some reference images for Alnwick Castle, taken from different angles, giving the best looks at how the Copp Cragg Sandstone weathers, and looks when clean. You also get to see the Percy Lion frieze, and the stone soldiers, which I also include on my dice tower build.

If you would like to get your hands on the Castle Dice Tower, it is part of the Half Tilt Castle set by TTCombat.

Instructions for the set are available through TTCombat under the Fantasy Realms section.

And all paints I used in this video, are made by TTCombat. The sprays have new formulations, but the bottled paints are all available here
