Noel-vember Roundup
‘Tis the season to paint models!
So, being a butcher means that my December is pretty busy, so I took the opportunity to paint some festive models in November, before the madness begins! I only have a handful of Christmas themed models, one of which introduces a company to the year of themed months, and it’s one you may be surprised at! We’ll get to them, later.
North Swole
These festive fighters come to us from TTCombat, as a Christmas themed team for Rumbleslam. In the box, we get 5 Rookies, and the main man himself, ‘Ol Thicc Nick, as an included Superstar! I used the TTCombat Candy Paints for the Christmas Lights on O’Fitness Tree, which gave them a really nice look, and as a nod to Bill Goldberg in Santa’s Slay, I gave ‘Ol Thicc Nick a Goldberg tribal tattoo.
Barroom Brawl
We go back to Mantic Games for this one, as I FINALLY get to painting the models from the Barroom Brawl Advent Calendar. This includes 4 player characters, a barman and the bouncer. PLUS some scenery! My favourite is the fireplace, and the OSL I did on the brickwork I think looks really nice.
Grotmas Gitz
For the first time, a Games Workshop model makes its way into the themed months! This was a pretty fun model to paint, with some sweet details, like the Age Of Sigmar guy on the base, a Space Marine falling out of the sack, along with a couple tiny paint pots! For the presents, I painted them using metallics, then I used TTCombat Candy Paints to give them a sparkly wrapping paper effect.
What’s next?
Well, since December is going to be busy as all hell, I’m going to call it Do What You Can December. I have a few models sat on my table which I’ll try and get some paint on between work and rest. See you then!
